The Lowe Family Performance

The Lowe Family has been entertaining hundredsd of thousands around the world for over 25 years.  All of the Lowe siblings began studying and performing the music of the masters from very young ages.  Soon additional instruments, dance classes, and vocal lessons were added…along with more teachers and more practice time.  The rest is history!  Versatile on many instruments, the Lowes offer an amazing blend of show-stopping classical, Broadway, Irish Jazz, Bluegrass, old-time favorites, spectacular dance, 6-part harmony, gospe, a stirring patriotic tribute, and more!  This high-energy, fast-paced variety show willl leave you breathleass!

La Crosse County Historical Society's Annual Mystery Bus Tour

Join LCHS's George Italiano and fellow local history buffs for a Mystery Bus Tour. These fun-filled and informative bus tours include visits to historic sites and buildings. These tours have several stops and not-knowing is half the fun! We take pride in the uniqueness of our historic presentation and ability to schedule in some stops that may surprise you.  The staff is not aware of the stops, George is but he is not telling.

The bus leaves at 7am from the South Side Shopko Parking Lot and returns at 7pm.

Lunch is provided: beef tips or Wisconsin fish fry, choice of cod or catfish.

3:00pm.  International Soap Bubble Artist, Casey Carle, creates a performance loaded with visual art, quick wit, swing music, and amazing soap bubble manipulations.

Halfway Creek Advenuturefest

A new outdoor experience has been set for April 29 in Holmen!  Adventurefest will feature a 10k trail run, 5k run/walk, a bike trek, and a variety of other outdoor activities.  Sponsored by the Halfway Creek Lutheran Church, the event will also include Sunday morning worship.  Festivities will be held at the Halfway Creek Park and bandshell, near the American Legion, in downtown Holmen.

Runners, walkers and bikers can register online at halfwaycreek.org.  An early-registration discount is available through March 15 of $20 for the run/walk.  After March 15th, fees increase to $25.  Families are encouraged to participate with a family discount, ($70 early registration, $90 after March 15, for a family of four).  The price includes a dri-fit, short-sleeved shirt if registered by April 15.  

Awards will be presented to the overall male and female finisher.  Prizes will also be awarded to first, second, and third place finishers in each age group.  

The 10k will begin at 8:00am and the 5k at 8:05am.  Worship is at 10:30am and a Bike Trek will begin at noon.  

Early registration for the Bike Trek is $10 for an individual and $30 for a family of four (by March 15).  After March 15, Bike Trek prices will be $12/individual and $40/family of four.  

Registration for anyone interested in both events is $28/$30 for an individual and $100/$110 for a family.

Ricky Nelson Remembered

A multi-media event featuring the live music of Ricky Nelson's hit songs preformed by his twin sons, Matthew and Gunnar.  Admission fee applies.
