“Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®,” is a march against domestic violence. Men are challenged to put on high heel shoes and walk a mile around Riverside Park. Women can be “Sole Sisters” and show support by walking alongside the men. Join hosts, the La Crosse Riverfest Commodores, for a fun, thought provoking event, raising money and awareness, and showing support for survivors of domestic violence. Money raised will help support the YWCA of the Coulee Region and Gundersen Lutheran Medical Foundation’s Carilee Fund in support of victims of domestic violence. This Riverfest event will be Thursday, July 5, in Riverside Park, La Crosse. Registration, Check-in and shoe pick-up is from 2-5:30pm, with the walk beginning at 6pm.
