Directed by Steve Marking, this five week summer camp will teach skills in acting, singing, and dance.  Mornings will be spent building these skills in classes, while the afternoons will be spent on all aspects of producing a show to be performed on August 10 and 11th.  Participants should bring their own lunch each day.  This program requires a minimum of 25 participants to run.

The UW-La Crosse Youth Sports and Fitness Camp Aug. 6-8 is designed to teach kids concepts such as sportsmanship, teamwork, nutrition and fitness. The camp, for children ages 5-12, is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mitchell Hall on the UW-L Campus. Campers are supervised at all times.

 Activities may include: Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Kickball, Soccer, Whiffleball, Pickleball, Ultimate Frisbee, Parachute Activities, and free time to play many fun games.  The camp is $25 per day. Campers may sign up for one day or multiple days and must provide their own snacks and lunch.

The registration deadline is July 27.  If registering after July 27, call 608.785.8676 to check for availability. Walk-ins may be accepted depending on space.

Viterbo Fine Arts Center

For University undergraduates and high school juniors and seniors, the Viterbo University Opera Performance Workshop is created for young singers to explore performance practices in the opera genre in a true learning environment.  Students will participate in daily music and staging rehearsals culminating in a performance of opera scenes on Saturday, August 11.  Singers who are interested in a vocal performance career will find this workshop to be a great asset in their operatic training.
