Bike Fest Spotlight — New on this year’s Labor Day Bike Fest Schedule : Karma Class! On the third day of riding, you might want to take a break and join Root Down Yoga for a quick ride to their studio on Caledonia Street. There you can stretch out, recover, and challenge your mind and body in a hot room, power vinyasa yoga class. This 60 minute “Karma Class” is only $5, and 100% of the proceeds go to a local charity. Free rental mats and towels for Bike Festival riders! Current plans for this event have the group leaders leaving Cameron Park at 2:30pm Sunday and returning by roughly 5:15pm. Register now for the Apple Blossom Bike Tour: The Rotary Club of La Crescent, Minnesota announces the 4th Annual Apple Blossom Bicycle Tour, August 13th 2016 “Pedaling Against Polio”. Register at http://www.appleblossomtour.org This year the Apple Blossom Bicycle tour will be held in conjunction with LIZFEST, a celebration of the life of Elizabeth Holman Melde. Living For Liz is a non-profit that aims to raise money in order to aid in the awareness, prevention, research and treatment of lung cancer. LizFest website. Wisconsin Bike Summit in La Crosse! The 2016 Wisconsin Bike Summit will be held on Saturday, May 21st in La Crosse, WI at the Radisson Hotel. The Summit is scheduled to complement the UW- La Crosse Extension Midwest Active Transportation Conference on Friday, May 20th.
