Blogging on Buzzard Billy’s, in La Crosse, WI.
By Kaitlyn Howes
Unique, exceptional, tasty; the first three words that come to my mind after leaving Buzzard Billy’s. Today I took my first trip to beautiful downtown La Crosse to Buzzard Billy’s, home of the best New Orleans and American Cuisine.
After seeing Monarchs Public House a couple weeks ago, I was looking for another entertaining, and lively atmosphere to get a bite to eat! Buzzard Billy’s was exactly that, the coastal vibes mixed with sports bar décor throughout the restaurant brought a lively feel, that I could tell, all the customers enjoyed.
I brought a couple friends along to join me on my adventure and we were all stumped on what to order. The menu was filled with a ton of unique options that aren’t traditional dishes, which is exactly what we were looking for. After playing 20 questions with our extremely nice waiter, one friend and I decided on the Gater Po’ Boy, and my other friend chose the Jerk Chicken Po Boy, YUM!
We also tried hush puppies for our appetizer. I know it is hard to believe, but this was our first time trying them! I definitely recommend them. All of our food was perfect.
The best part is Buzzard’s has a brand new kitchen! Head on down and spend some time with them. It’s safe to say, we will definitely be taking another trip back to La Crosse!
