The City of La Crosse Parks & Recreation Department is excited to present the Bluff Bash to take place August 27th, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. at Upper Hixon Forest Park! The Bluff Bash is a celebration of everyone who loves local trails. The event invites trail enthusiasts, volunteers, and anyone interested in local trails to come enjoy a family-friendly, fun-filled evening. The Bash jump starts at 6:00 p.m. with the choice of guided activities: trail run, nature walk, or mountain bike ride. Everyone will reconvene at 7:00 p.m. to enjoy the Exceptional Volunteerism Award ceremony and Pump Track Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting both presented by Mayor Tim Kabat! Festivities to directly follow include: pump track ride clinic & demo, live music, corn feed, lawn games, BYOPicnic, s’mores, free ice cream, and more! The event is free but donations will be accepted and a fundraising raffle will be held throughout the event to benefit trails maintenance and improvements.

The Bluff Bash increases awareness of the new developments and recreational offerings of Upper Hixon Forest Park and Pump Track while celebrating local volunteers, organizations, and enthusiasts who contribute to and enjoy our local trails systems.
