The mission of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department is to improve and ensure the quality of life for citizens by providing a wide variety of leisure and recreational activities, cultural events, park facilities, and other services that encourage health, fitness, relaxation, and overall community well-being.

Open Curling (the ice sport) on the second Wednesday of each winter month, November through March at 7:30pm at Green Island Ice Arena. The open curling includes lessons for beginners and the sessions are free and open to the public.
