Make Your Own Gargoyle Workshop
Gargoyles and Grotesques have captured the public’s imagination ever since they first appeared menacingly perched along the rooftops of medieval cathedrals. On Sunday, October 15th at 2:00pm, Susanna Schlosstein is holding a workshop on “Gargoyles, Grotesques and Things that go Bump in the Night” at Castlerock Museum in Alma, Wisconsin.
During this informative and art filled afternoon, participants will learn about the origins and uses of gargoyles. They will also have a chance to design and sculpt their own gargoyles out of air drying modeling clay.
Susanna Schlosstein has been teaching middle school art in Arcadia, Wisconsin for the past seventeen years. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Art Education and a concentration in ceramics.
Reservations are required and can be made by contacting the museum at 608-685-4231 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The cost of the program is $6 a person and includes materials. The museum will open at 1:00pm for participants that would like to see the exhibits beforehand.
