Immerse yourself in the world of owls in Houston, MN. After two years the International Festival of Owls is back to normal with a few changes.

The Illinois Raptor Center will be back with their live owl programs, including a Snowy Owl. Expect owl prowls, a birding/natural history/geology bus trip, pellet dissection, nest box building, a hooting masterclass, face painting, kids’ crafts, vendors, and large display of amazing children’s owl art from around the world.

Norwegian owl researcher Roar Solheim will be giving a keynote presentation (in person) on Saturday evening about his adventures with owls and owl people in North America. UW-La Crosse lecturer in biology Markus Mika will also be speaking about his research on the tiny moth-eating, mountain-dwelling Flammulated Owl.

Some events require pre-registration. Check out the International Festival of Owls website for registration and details as they emerge: www.FestivalOfOwls.com.
