The Hmong New Year is an age-old tradition brought to the United States from the mountains of Laos. The Hmong New Year Festival is a time to reflect, rejoice and enjoy the company of loved ones. It is a time to renew one’s spirit, and to establish goals and directions for one’s life. It is especially a time to celebrate the harvest and to share the abundance of the harvest with family, neighbors and friends.
Our New Year Festival is open to the public. There are many traditional foods, dances, and entertainment for every age.
For additional information on the event, visit the HMAA online, or contact their office at: 608-781-5744, or visit them at 1815 Ward Avenue, La Crosse, WI 54601.
