La Crosse Area Fishing Report

Fishing Report Week of 11/05/12

Fishing was very good this past weekend. A few weeds around but overall it was a fantastic weekend of fishing. I heard customers say it was the best weekend of fishing they had all year and a few commented in several years. Almost everyone got their limit of walleye/sauger and added a few perch to their stringer as well. Most of the fish were coming in on hair jigs or river rigs tipped with minnows. The weather was fantastic and should keep being that way for several weeks. Water is around 44 degrees, a perfect temperature for walleye and sauger. Not sure how much longer the perch will stay around and these are nice size perch, in the 11 to 13 inch range. Very nice. I keep saying that about the perch, but this is a fish that is hard to predict when they will come in or go. If you get a chance to go fishing, get up here while we are still open. We plan on closing down the 18th of November this year.
