Press conference to be held at Riverside Park – Wednesday July 29, 2015 at 10:30am.
In partnership with Dahl Automotive and Midwest Off Road Center the La Crosse Area Convention & Visitors Bureau has outfitted a Ford Transit to be used for area events and festivals. The new van will aid in the temporary closing of the I-90 visitor center during its remodel and provide the LACVB with a new presence at events around the La Crosse area.
Cities across the U.S. have been taking their message to the road, creating a new generation of visitor centers, and Explore La Crosse is following suit. This mobile visitor center will be used to distribute brochures, maps and other informative materials to visitors already attending events in the La Crosse area. The plan also includes expanding the presences of the La Crosse area by taking the vehicle to key fairs, sporting events, and festivals around the state of Wisconsin. This will allow Explore La Crosse to compete with regional Convention & Visitors Bureaus such as Visit St. Paul, Oshkosh CVB and Visit Eau Claire, all of which utilize mobile tourism vans to connect with potential visitors at music fairs and festivals across the state.
A press conference announcing the new mobile tourism van will be held at Riverside Park in downtown La Crosse, WI on Wednesday July 29, 2015 at 10:30am.
Event organizers may request the presence of the mobile tourism van at area events by contacting the La Crosse Area Convention & Visitors Bureau or by visiting http://www.explorelacrosse.com/mobile-tourism-van/.
