The non-objective COR-TEN steel sculpture was designed to resist corrosion and age with a luminous red brown patina. The interpretation of the subject is up to the viewer’s own imagination. Part of Stephan Fischer’s monumental sculpture ribbon series, his works can be found at college campuses around the country.
The sculpture is located on the north side of Cartwright Center (opposite of State Street) on University of Wisconsin La Crosse’s Campus. Welcoming students into the student union for decades, the piece has become a fixture on campus. One of several
