Interstate 90-Exit 3 Rose Street-US 53 Improvement Project
Eagle Viewing Area Ribbon Cutting

Carrying over 32,000 vehicles per day, Rose Street at Interstate 90 represents a major gateway to the La Crosse area and Wisconsin. These improvements made possible by Federal, State and local funding, including Wisconsin Community Sensitive Design Funds in excess of $800,000, will catalyze private investment on this important corridor.

The inclusion of the multi-use trail system, 4 acre Eagle Viewing Area and landscape enhancements as part of the overall $65,000,000 Federal/State Highway 53 Exit 3 project brings a welcome improvement to La Crosse, offering both citizens and visitors to experience the beauty of the region as well as multimodal transportation options.

Plans for surrounding investment and redevelopment as part of the City’s US 53 corridor plan supported by Northside Neighborhood and Business Associations will be enhanced by these investments and the attraction of people to these amenities.
