Fall Family Fun in La Crosse County

Whether it’s fun fall festivals or a trip to the pumpkin patch, we’ve got family-friendly experiences for you and your loved ones to enjoy!

Ghoulees in the Coulees

Norskedalen is a Historic Homestead over 100 years old and during its annual Ghoulees in the Coulees it becomes illuminated only by the light of the moon and jack-‘o-lanterns.  Every October, Norskedalen has you make your way through the woods, guided by more jack-‘o-lanterns, not knowing what kind of ghost or goblin may greet you around the next tree.  It’s an experience unlike any other. Advanced reservations are required and can be made by calling 608-452-3423.

Historic Downtown Day

Historic Downtown Day celebrates the rich history of downtown La Crosse through numerous family-friendly activities such as live entertainment, horse-drawn carriage rides, crafts, and trolley tours. This historic festival incorporates learning opportunities through the 1860’s Shoe Shine Stand, La Crosse Queen Cruises, La Crosse Library History Hunt, historical reenactments, open houses, and many more.

Hidden Trails Corn Maze

Get lost! Established in 1998, Hidden Trails is one of Wisconsin’s oldest and largest corn mazes. They offer 4 corn mazes, a pumpkin patch, weekend wagon rides, farm animals, fall decor to purchase in the store and more! Find your way through 5+ miles of paths in a 12 acre corn maze. Open September 1st through November 1st (weather permitting).

Global Initiatives Week

Global Initiatives Week is a celebration of the cultural, social, and economic value of our community worldwide, but will also inform and educate local businesses and individuals about the vital global ties that exist within our community and the tremendous impact of these connections on the Greater La Crosse Region. Explore cuisine from other cultures, get creative with crafts, learn a new dance, and more!

Rainbow Ridge Farms B&B

Tucked in a beautiful coulee of the Driftless Region, you can retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life at Rainbow Ridge.  Say hi to the goats and other animals on the farm and even have your photo taken with them! It’s the perfect stop for family fun this fall season.
