While the La Crosse nightlife and live music scene are quite well known, performance art here goes well beyond bars and bands. With multiple state-of-the-art facilities, the area attracts myriad talented artists and performers in dance, theatre, and music, and is quickly becoming a regional cultural arts center. La Crosse Symphony Orchestra

The mission of the Symphony is “to provide excellent symphonic music for the pleasure of the public in the tri-state region, educate people of all ages in the symphonic repertoire and tradition, and encourage student and professional musicians to develop and share their musical talents and skills.” With roots all the way back to 1898, the LSO has been continuously fulfilling this mission in the region since 1941.

Viterbo University Fine Arts Center

World-class entertainment appears on the main stage during our Bright Star and NexStar seasons, which contain a mixture of professional musical artists, dance companies, and touring theatre companies.  The One-of-a-Kind Chamber Music Series concerts showcase the talents of our music department faculty and regional artists.  Their Ronald McDonald Arts for Young America Family Series contains fun titles suitable for all ages. The performances often hearken back to the books we loved as children, or love to read to our children.
