La Crosse River State Trail

Scenery and history abound on the 21.5 mile La Crosse River State Trail. This trail is a connecting link between the Great River State Trail and the Elroy-Sparta State Trail. Beyond Elroy lies the 400 Trail with 22 miles of scenic beauty connecting Elroy to Reedsburg.

The Trail follows the winding route of the La Crosse River, as you pedal you’ll enjoy bridges over crystal clear trout streams and picturesque farms. The La Crosse River State Trail has a smooth surface that can accommodate both road bicycles and mountain bikes. Part of the trail even runs parallel to an active rail line.
