Oktoberfest 2014

Welcome!

Grandad Bluff

Wisconsin Great River Road

A fun-filled weekend!

Applefest is the La Crescent community event honoring the apple harvest in the Apple Capital of Minnesota. A fun-filled weekend, Applefest has something for everyone – entertainment, refreshments, a carnival, classic car show, Arts & Crafts Fair, Apple Orchard Tours and Apple Pie Sales + more.

September 25-28

Approximately 5,000 miles and over 150 years of history provide the only major differences between La Crosse, Wisconsin and Munich, Germany during late September and early October each year. This time of year both Munich and La Crosse are filled with “merrymaking” and a carnival atmosphere known in both cities as Oktoberfest.

Experience…Enjoy…Explore La Crosse

Each year, La Crosse attracts more than one million visitors, as people from across the globe are attracted to the natural beauty and recreational opportunities offered by the upper Mississippi River area - not to mention the region's rich history, unique attractions and variety of great shopping, dining and cultural offerings. We hope you enjoy our beautiful city!

A Must See Attraction

With the breathtaking views of the Mississippi River Valley, this beloved attraction is now more beautiful than ever before. Limestone benches weighing 3,000 lbs, a 75 foot flag pole and a 17.5 ton limestone monolith are just a few of the interesting sights you will see during your visit to the “new” park.

Voted the Prettiest Drive in America

Explore 250 miles of Wisconsin's only National Scenic Byway, featuring 33 river towns, with La Crosse being the largest city on the route! Once on the road, it will be easy to understand why this byway was voted the "Prettiest Drive" in America by the Huffington Post!
